A film and TV composer and clarinet player, Robert Drasnin got the voodoo bug back in 1959. He’d later go on to score a host of film soundtracks with exploitative narratives, including Picture Mommy Dead and A Taste Of Evil among many others. He played the tunes of this album live in the early 2000s and then recorded and released volumes two and three revisiting that exotica vibe.
