You might hear some of this take on voodoo and think it’s a tad too easy listening, but Richard Hayman is adventurous and experimental in places bringing the dark arts of voodoo into a space age bachelor pad. It’s as exotic as they come with plenty of percussive flurries and stabbing brass. Onliune reviews acclaim his “percussion aortas in the foreground, often times causing staggering revelations and cinematic coruscations.” It’s a filmic experience just lacking the movie and according to the sleeve: "This is music to be met half-way in a quiet room with the lights dimmed. Or better still meet it all the way in the still of the night with the lights out. Then listen! That's Voodoo!”
