An album played in space by Neil Armstrong from a cassette specially made for him, this is a Les Baxter-inspired romp from the late 40s with a suitably exotic cover featuring actress Virgina Clark. How the theremin panned out as he orbited, who knows? The sleeve of the original reckoned "Harry Revel created the basic "idea" and themes while Leslie Baxter, conductor and arranger, has given them appropriately unique tone colour, using mass harmonies of human voices as well as unusual instrumental effects with woodwinds, strings and bass; some without rhythm, others with a dominant, demanding beat." Pretty out there nonetheless.
