If you can imagine that there opportunities for lush orchestras to waft between the stars in space then Frank Comstock’s ‘Music From Outer Space’ might be on the money. The exotica quota is increased by the sound effects here, the abstract instruments and odd blips and bleeps, like a soundtrack to The Twilight Zone without the visuals of course. It’s a real odd one that undoubtedly would have sold lots more if had had an exploitation sleeve to boot. That’s said, ‘On The Dark Side Of The moon’ is pretty damn good and there’s plenty of the wavering theremin and early electronics on display to make this well worth a listen.
